This session introduces the Values-Sensitive Library Assessment Toolkit. The toolkit takes the form of a participatory design card deck, featuring 10 Value Cards and 3 Exercise Cards. Each Value Card presents a value relevant for library assessment, such as Alignment, Validity, and Stewardship. The Exercise Cards include instructions for working with the Value Cards. The aim of the toolkit is to center values in library assessment, in support of an ethical practice.
